January 2008:
Another skiing trip to Austria. This time to Altenmarkt in the Salzburger Land. We had great weather, fantastic snow and I really improved my skiing skills this time. So even for a late starter like me it makes some fun now.

December 2007:

We moved into our new house on November 30th, 2007. Pictures are shown in the "house" section. We spent all of December "moving in" and there is still lots to do. Running is a little on the back burner right now.

29 July 2007:

Dear Friends,
I did pass the CISSP exam after participating the bootcamp in Rotenburg, Germany (the city is infamous for the "cannibal" who ate bodyparts of another man in consent with him. Both met in an Internet chat room before they met for dinner. Only the cannibal survived the dinner). But we are side tracking. Check out what CISSP is all about after the jump:

22 June 2007:
I ran my best for 10km (under one hour that is). I told you I was an occasional jogger ;-).
It was a cool day with drizzling rain. The people in Wallau were standing left and right, cheering and providing water and strawberries. Every participant could get a freshly baked bread. Next year I will participate again.

13 June 2007:

The largest single running event. It took us 45min to get to the STARTING line after the race was started. After that it was more a slalom race. More than 65000 runners and walkers.

Pfingstlauf TUS Hornau 10km
I really had a good time. The weather was a bit on the rainy side but still ok during the race. The race itself was leading through unpaved trails.

3 March 2007:

SG Eintracht Frankfurt - Hannover 96 2:0
My son and I enjoyed the game. Eintracht made 3 important points. Albert Streit was the best.

25 February 2007:

Israel
Great country. Great weather. The trip was on business, so I spent most of the time with customers. We went up to Akko on our free day to see the catacombs of the Knight Templars.
Humus, Kebap, Goldstar was my preferred food.
My dear friends invited me to a shabat evening celebration at their home including Kiddush.

5 February 2007:

Went to Switzerland on business. The picture is from the Kornhaus Keller. A wonderful old place.

10 January 2007:
Skiing again
This time to Neukirchen in Austria. And although there was little snow the weather was great and skiing was fun. We had a perfect time. No injuries.
We stayed at a family run business and had immediately contact with the owner and his family.
On the downside we had to endure Scottish teenagers from around Glasgow on their yearly school trip staying in the same hotel.
The big rock in the background is the "Grosser Rettenstein"

3 December 2006:
First Advent
Frankfurt X-mas market. On a surprisingly warm Sunday afternoon we went to the Frankfurt X-mas market. We had the best Glühwein and other X-mas specialties. Great time and the kids had lots of fun.
We met some friends and enjoyed the atmosphere at the famous Merry-Go-Round.

15 October 2006:
Alessa Chemie Mainuferlauf in Offenbach
My first semimarathon. Quite an experience. 650 starters on a wonderful, sunny, warm October Sunday morning. 21km on the promenade and trails along the Main river. The mist was still settled on the river banks but the sun was warm and bright. I started the race slow and came in with the second half of the field.

19 March 2006:
Austin, TX, SXSW 2006
On the trip to Austin you should visit a couple of places:
a) Dr.Pepper Bottling Company and the Dr.Pepper museum in Waco,TX. Where it all began. Provides a good overview about the history of soft drink production and marketing in general.
b) Shiner Brewery in Shiner,TX. Small town, cool brewery. Exporting now to other states as well.
